CONCEPT AND INSPIRATION
Tic-tac-toe, hit me high, hit me low, hit me three times in a row—U! F! O!
This childhood chant echoes through UFO, where the rhythm of clapping games meets the residue of memory. Hand-drawn Xs and Os scatter across the canvas in bold reds and ghosted layers, a call-and-response between playful innocence and abstract intention. The repeated marks, made without brushes or tools, are the literal imprints of the artist’s hands—channeling movement, rhythm, and muscle memory directly onto the surface. Part of the Imprints of Intention collection, UFO invites viewers to reconnect with the tactile and the remembered—to see the extraordinary within the ordinary marks we once made just to pass the time.
