CONCEPT AND INSPIRATION
This piece is really about what’s going on underneath everything we think we understand. At first glance, it feels structured—like there’s a system holding it all together—but the more you sit with it, the more it starts to shift, break down, and blur.
I made this while thinking about all the things that shape us without us even realizing it—memories, habits, emotions, patterns we’ve picked up over time. And how we move through phases—sometimes steady, sometimes messy, sometimes in-between—constantly changing even when it doesn’t look like it on the surface. For me, this painting lives in that space between control and unraveling… where things aren’t as solid as they seem, and something deeper is always in motion—quietly shifting, evolving, becoming.
