I’ve always been interested in how life leaves its mark on us. The people we love, the places we’ve been, the things we’ve moved through, and even the small moments we barely notice can become part of who we are. We carry pieces of all of it forward—sometimes knowingly and sometimes without realizing it. That idea is the foundation of my artwork. My current collections, Beneath the Surface and Ex + Oh Connection, explore different parts of that larger idea—from what we carry quietly within ourselves to the relationships and moments that leave a lasting mark. My paintings begin with my own experiences, but they aren’t meant to tell only my story. I want you to find something of yourself in them—a memory, a person, a place, a feeling, or simply something familiar that you can’t quite explain.
