When I created Beyond the Ledger of Rules and Time, I found myself thinking about all the invisible systems we use to measure our lives—the expectations, milestones, responsibilities, and timelines that quietly shape our decisions. So much of our energy is spent trying to keep pace, stay organized, and make sense of where we stand. Yet beneath those structures exists something much more meaningful.
The layered grids, fragmented marks, and faded forms within this painting reference those systems of order. They suggest records, maps, plans, and frameworks that once felt important, but have gradually softened and dissolved into the background. What remains is a quieter space where intuition, memory, and personal truth begin to emerge.
