PARALLEL INTENTIONS
In Parallel Intentions, I explore the quiet reality that connection does not always require two people moving in the same direction. The repeated X and O forms drift across the surface like signals sent and received—small gestures of affection, reassurance, understanding, and hope. They exist side by side, each carrying its own path, yet remaining part of a larger conversation.
As a mother, partner, friend, and observer of human relationships, I’ve become fascinated by how often our lives unfold in parallel. We hold different dreams, face different challenges, and travel different roads, yet we continue reaching toward one another through simple acts of care. A hug, a kiss, a text message, a moment of presence—these are the threads that keep us connected even when our intentions, experiences, or circumstances are not identical.
The layered surface reflects the complexity of those connections. Some marks feel clear and deliberate, while others are softened, obscured, or partially hidden beneath time and experience. Much like relationships themselves, what matters most is often not what is immediately visible, but what remains beneath the surface holding everything together.
