CONCEPT AND INSPIRATION

Worth Every Step reflects my fascination with the way we build ourselves through experience. The painting moves between structure and disruption—blocks of color, weathered layers, and repeated squares suggest a path that is continually being constructed, interrupted, and redirected. For me, the darker passages represent the weight we sometimes carry, while the warmer ochre and open areas create a sense of movement toward something lighter. The small squares travel across the surface almost like markers along the way—reminders of the choices, setbacks, risks, and moments of growth that accumulate over time.
