Stay Confident: The Battle is Real

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve questioned myself while working on a new project or chasing a goal. There are moments when I sit with my canvas, or in front of a half-finished idea, and think: What if this isn’t good enough? What if no one connects with it? What if I’m wasting my time? Those thoughts creep in quietly but carry so much weight.

But here’s what I’ve learned: confidence isn’t about never doubting yourself—it’s about learning to keep going with the doubt. When I’ve pushed through those uneasy seasons, I’ve always found something waiting for me on the other side. Sometimes it’s a breakthrough in my work, sometimes it’s a connection with someone who truly resonates with what I created, and sometimes it’s simply the reminder that I’m stronger than I give myself credit for.

I’ve had projects feel like they were standing still, like nothing was moving forward no matter how much energy I poured in. Looking back, those were the exact seasons that were shaping me. They taught me patience, persistence, and trust.

How I Stay Grounded in Confidence When Things Stall

  • I go back to my “why.” I remind myself that I create because it’s who I am, not just for the outcome. Reconnecting to that truth steadies me.

  • I celebrate the small wins. Finishing a piece, sending an email, even showing up in the studio—that all counts. It keeps me moving.

  • I focus on showing up. I’ve realized that progress isn’t always visible, but every time I return to the work, I’m building something that matters.

Confidence isn’t about being certain—it’s about trusting that you’re exactly where you need to be, even when the road feels quiet.
